Agreement
These terms apply to the Baby Tracker Android app, published by EthanApp (“we”, “us”). By using the app, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how your information is handled.
Not medical advice
Baby Tracker is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. It helps you keep a record of feeds, sleep, diapers, growth and other details. Hints in the app, such as typical awake times, the fever note, the stool-colour note, milestone age ranges and growth percentiles, are general information and are not advice about your child.
Always ask a doctor, nurse, midwife or other qualified professional about your baby’s health, feeding, sleep and development. If you think your baby is unwell, contact a doctor or your local emergency number straight away; don’t wait for anything you see, or don’t see, in the app.
Growth charts
The growth curves and percentiles are calculated from the WHO Child Growth Standards (World Health Organization, 2006) for children from birth to 24 months. They depend on the measurements and dates you enter, and a percentile on its own says little about a child’s health.
Your data and backups
Everything you log is stored only on your phone, and it belongs to you. If you delete entries, clear the app’s data, uninstall the app or lose your phone, we can’t recover anything. Use Back up in the app to keep a copy of what matters to you.
Using the app
- The app is meant for parents and other adult caregivers.
- Reminders and timers depend on your phone’s settings, battery saving and notifications, and may be late or not appear; don’t rely on them for anything critical, such as giving medicine on time.
- Don’t try to reverse engineer, modify or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.
Changes to the app
We may change, add or remove features, add paid options, or stop offering the app.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, EthanApp is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for lost data, or for decisions made based on information in the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the effective date above. If you keep using the app after a change, the updated terms apply.
