Privacy policy

Effective October 19, 2026

The short version: Baby Tracker keeps everything you log about your baby on your phone. We don’t collect, receive, sell or share any personal data, and the app has no accounts, ads or analytics.

Who we are

Baby Tracker (“the app”) is an Android app published by EthanApp (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to the information you enter in the app. If you have a question about it, email us at ethanhdt@gmail.com.

Information stored on your device

To work, the app stores what you enter:

  • your baby’s profile: name or nickname, date of birth, and, if you choose to add it, whether your baby is a girl or a boy (used only to pick the right WHO growth curves);
  • the entries you log, such as feeds, pumping, diapers, sleep, growth measurements, temperatures, medicine doses, doctor visits, activities, milestones and notes;
  • timers that are running; and
  • your preferences, such as units, theme, language and reminders.

This information is saved in a database inside the app’s private storage on your phone. It is not sent to us, and we have no way to see it. No sign-in is needed, so the app doesn’t know your name, email address or phone number.

Information we collect

None. The app has no server. It contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking tools, and it does not send your entries over the internet. We don’t use cookies or identifiers to follow you across apps or websites.

Health information

Some entries, like temperatures, medicine doses or growth measurements, are health information about your child. They are treated like everything else in the app: they stay on your phone and are only shared when you choose to share them, for example by sending the doctor report.

Notifications, reminders and the widget

If you allow notifications, the app shows a running timer in your notification bar and can remind you when a feed may be due. If you add the home-screen widget, it shows the time since the last feed, diaper and sleep. These are created on your phone by the app itself; nothing is sent through a push service. Like any notification or widget, they may be visible on your lock screen or home screen, which you can change in Android’s settings.

Permissions

The app asks to show notifications (for timers and reminders). It uses vibration for button feedback and restores reminders after your phone restarts. It doesn’t ask for access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or SMS. When you choose to restore a backup, Android’s file picker lets you select a single file, and the app can read only that file.

Reports, exports and backups you make

When you use Share report, Export as CSV or Back up, the app creates a message or a file and opens Android’s share sheet. You decide where it goes, for example to your doctor, Google Drive, email or your phone’s storage. Once shared, it is handled by the service you chose and its own privacy policy. These files contain your baby’s records, so keep them somewhere safe.

Android may also include the app’s data in your phone’s own device backup to your Google account, if you have turned that on in your phone’s settings. That backup is provided by Google, not by us.

Sharing and selling

We don’t share, sell, rent or trade any information, because we never receive any.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your phone until you remove it. You can delete one entry at a time, delete a baby with all of their entries, or delete everything with More → Erase all data. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in Android’s settings also deletes it. Files you exported yourself must be deleted wherever you saved them.

Security

Your entries are protected by Android’s app sandbox, which stops other apps from reading the app’s private storage. Anyone who can unlock your phone can open the app, so use a screen lock.

Children

The app is made for parents and other adult caregivers, not for children to use. The information about a child in the app is entered by a parent or caregiver and stays on their phone; we don’t collect information from anyone, children included.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update it on this page and change the effective date above. If a future version of the app ever handles data differently, for example to sync between caregivers, we’ll explain it here and in the app before that version is released, and it will be your choice to turn it on.
